The Electric Materials Company Quality PolicyThe Electric Materials Company (TEMCO) is committed to clearly defining and meeting the contractual demands and expectations of our customers in their need for our products and services. We believe this effort is an ongoing one that continuously evolves bringing us closer to the goal of 100% satisfaction and defect-free performance.
The bedrock of this effort is the creation and maintenance of close working relationships with our suppliers, employees, and customers.

Quality Assurance
The Quality Assurance (QA) team at The Electric Materials Company is here to ensure that our customer has complete satisfaction. We accomplish this through careful examination of customer requirements – how they fit within the TEMCO manufacturing processes and within our Quality System. 
Additionally, manufacturing processes are tightly controlled to assure that product requirements are met on a consistent basis. Both process and product audits are performed regularly to verify conformance to the requirements.
Our initial ISO Certification process was completed in 1998. The Electric Materials Company has become registered to the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System. Our current ISO 9001:2008 certificate is available here.

Our continual improvement efforts have improved customer satisfaction and on-time delivery as we develop creative methods to improve product/process quality and velocity using 6 Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles.

Several upgrades and new test equipment purchases were made in our metallurgical laboratory. Our tensile tester was upgraded with new software. A new atomic absorption spectrometer and digital hardness tester was purchased. Each piece of equipment is capable of downloading information for in depth data analysis. A new digital stereo microscope was purchased. This instrument provides added capabilities for investigating material issues.

Our Quality Department is now electronically filing records. This paperless system provides for easy and fast record retrieval. The system further enhances existing and new databases.
